This internship was fantastic. Aside from some of the mundane tasks like data entry, I was given some interesting and challenging projects to work on. Of course, the interns were treated as such, as expected. We obviously weren't given really intense projects to work on, but for the most part, we got tasks that made for really good resume-builders. For example, some of my fellow interns in the journalism department were given articles to write that were actually published online. I was given the freedom to create advertisements for the Boston Magazine site, helped update advertising and editorial content, and got to work with some other interns on presentations and such. Overall, it was a pretty hands-on type of internship, and the work atmosphere is pretty laid back and fun. Everyone there is pretty well connected and insanely smart, so you can definitely learn a thing or two from this internship.
