Energy People Connect

 

Energy People Connect is an online and real-time social media network and e-zine that focused on the lifestyle issues of people in the Energy industry around the world.  We are looking for a curious and self motivated journalism or communications student to intern with our publication as an associate editor.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the international energy industry, sociographics and lifestyle trends and communications media management while honing your research and writing skills. 

 

 

The ideal candidate should be extremely detail oriented, organized, able to work under deadlines and interested in writing and research. Some online editorial, logging and social network experience is a major plus. Interest in and knowledgeable about the energy industry, international travel and expatriate life issues is ideal.

Duties will include researching and identifying potential article topics that are of interest to our readership, short listing and drafting these articles, submitting them for editorial review and upon approval, publishing them. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of online publishing. Strong writing skills, a passion for accuracy, self motivation, creative thinking and an ability to recognize trends are all required.  

This internship is for the Spring 2008 Semester. This is a 12 hour per week paid internship with scheduling flexibility and would be suitable for candidates working remotely as well as in <?xml:namespace prefix =" st1" ns =" "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"" />Houston, although a local candidate is preferred.

It is appropriate for college credit.
