I had a hard time finding a creative internship position at an advertising agency, so I was thrilled to find one with Della Femina. I really enojoyed the people I worked with, my tasks, and loved being in the city for the summer.

How to Land this Internship

I emailed the HR department, and heard back the next day.

The Working Environment

In the studio, it was crazy. Some slow days, we listened to music, created funny things in PhotoShop, or made our own skeeball. On busy days, we all worked for hours, often staying til 8pm or later (instead of the usual 5:30). Everyone had a great attitude and they were all really nice and helpful.

The Interview Process

I was asked why I wanted to go into advertising, and what computer skills I knew. I also brought my portfolio in so the creative director could look through it.

Job Prospects

I have an interview with them in a month, so I don't know just yet.
